Geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GDandT) is an engineering language that uses symbols and modifiers to clearly communicate design requirements on mechanical drawings. By using GDandT a print can explicitly call out necessary tolerances in an unambiguous fashion. Using shop floor footage and animations to illustrate examples, this program introduces the viewer to GDandT rules and concepts. The 14 symbols used in GDandT are highlighted with examples to define their use. These symbols are organized into five categories:
This program is part of the Fundamentals of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing package.
