Ronald J. Bennett is founding dean and professor emeritus of the School of Engineering at the University of St. Thomas. Prior to entering academia, Bennett held leadership positions for three decades in the appliance, electronics, medical device and knowledge engineering industries. His responsibilities ranged from research and development, engineering and manufacturing to sales, marketing and general management. Bennett founded the School of Engineering at the University of St. Thomas. His current focus is on webinars and workshops on leadership for engineers in industry and academia. Bennett has a variety of academic publications, and is co-author with Elaine Millam of the 2012 McGraw-Hill book “Leadership for Engineers: The Magic of Mindset.” He has been active in SME's Manufacturing Education & Research Community and its Accreditation Committee. Bennett currently serves as an ABET Engineering Accreditation commissioner and has been leader of SME’s Center for Education. Ismail FidanIsmail Fidan, PhD

Ismail Fidan is currently is a tenured full professor at Tennessee Tech University and associate editor of the “IEEE Transactions on Components, Packaging and Manufacturing Technology” for the last 14 years. Fidan has teaching and research interests in additive manufacturing, computer-aided design, electronics packaging, knowledge-based systems, electromechanical systems and distance education. He holds more than a dozen university, state and national awards (2013-14 TTU Non-Instructional Faculty Assignment Award, 2013 THEC Harold Love Award, 2013 TTU Innovation and Creativity Award, 2012 TTU Distinguished Professional Service Award, 2011 TTU Brown Henderson Outstanding Engineering Faculty Award, 2010 Fulbright Senior Scholar Award, 2009 Allied Academies Distinguished Research Award, 2008 and 2006 Tennessee Board of Regents Lana Doncester Innovation Award, 2004 TTU Innovation and Creativity Award, 2003 SME Outstanding Young Manufacturing Engineer Award and 2001 National Association of Industrial Technology Outstanding Professor Award). Fidan is active in many technical societies. He constantly publishes and reviews in many technical journals and conferences. Fidan also actively participates in National Science Foundation panels. In the last 10 years, he was able to receive more than $1M external research and development grants. Fidan is currently a faculty advisor for SME’s student chapter at Tennessee Tech. He also serves as SME’s representative for the ABET Engineering Technology Accreditation Commission, is a former SME membership consultant and a former advisor for SME’s Manufacturing Education and Research Community. Gary PangelinaGary J. Pangelina

Gary J. Pangelina has served in various chapter officer positions for several chapters in the Los Angeles/Orange County area. Currently, he's taken a lead position in establishing a student chapter at Cerritos College and is setting up a Bronze Lean Certification Program. Professionally, Pangelina developed processes and procedures needed in the manufacturing of microelectronic assemblies, and controlled the design and fabrication of electronic assemblies from wafer level to hybrid. Along the way, he also developed a specialty in flux-free/void-free solder reflow. This process is critical to high-reliability, high-performance electronics, such as concentrating on solar receivers, MEMs, hybrids and nanotechnology. Member Since 1979
