US Machine Tool Orders Forecast to Rise on Economic Growth

US machine tool orders will rise 5% in 2015 as the US economy outpaces the rest of the world, according to an economic forecast presented at an Association for Manufacturing Technology conference in Detroit.That compares to a projected 0.6% increase for 2014, according to the forecast by Oxford Economics. PwC: Manufacturers Optimistic on Revenue Growth, Concerned About Economy

US manufacturers are more optimistic about revenue growth despite increased economic concerns, PricewaterhouseCoopers said.Respondents in a third-quarter PwC survey forecast an average revenue increase of 5.6% over the next 12 months, an increase from 5.2% in the second quarter and 4.2 percent in 2013’s third quarter.
