Economic activity in the US manufacturing sector expanded in January for the 20th consecutive month, but continued a pattern of slowing growth, the Institute for Supply Management said in its monthly report released Feb. 2. The Manufacturing PMI in January was 53.5%, down 1.6 percentage points from December’s seasonally adjusted 55.1%. Full Article

Stratasys Posts Quarterly Loss on Writedown

Stratasys Ltd. posted a fourth-quarter loss on a charge for writing down the value of its MakerBot unit.The maker of 3D printing machines reported a loss of $92 million, or $1.81 a share, for the last three months of 2014, compared with a loss of $2 million, or 4 cents a share, for the same period a year earlier.
