SME Celebrates Manufacturing Day 2014!
Manufacturing Day, now in its third year, was created to address common misperceptions by giving manufacturers the opportunity to open their doors and show what manufacturing truly is.
Throughout the month of October, SME will be supporting Manufacturing Day through SME chapter activities and events, the SME Education Foundation’s PRIME school network, Tooling U-SME and a new manufacturing awareness campaign, #MFGis.

Local Chapter Activities
An SME Education Foundation initiative, Partnership Response in Manufacturing Education (PRIME), actively engages and builds a collaborative network between manufacturing students, educators and industry to grow and train the next generation workforce while driving interest and awareness in manufacturing. During October, many PRIME schools will host and participate in Manufacturing Day events and activities.
