Keeping the credentials you worked hard for is just as important as earning them. To ensure you stay on top of the latest advances, and maintain a strong competitive edge, you must recertify every three years to maintain your CMfgT and/or CMfgE standing. Recertification requires that you participate in ongoing training and development activities. You will need to document 36 recertification credits during the three-year period from receiving your certification or last recertification.
While the CEI certification is no longer available to new candidates, those currently CEI certified may recertify by documenting the recertification activities found below.
Your continuing education, training, and development must be focused on the Body of Knowledge (PDF).
||Attend a tradeshow, conference, society meeting, seminar, or plant tour.
||Author a technical paper, book, or book review.
||Attend college or continuing education classes, employer-arranged training, or web-based training; read a book; watch a video; or teach part-time.
||Take part in a speaking engagement or committee activity, give a speech, teach an exam review course, or apply for a patent.
||Participate on a technical-related committee or board.
||A significant project accomplishment that goes beyond the scope of your normal job may qualify.
Note: At this time, you cannot pay your recertification fee online. You will be sent an invoice prior to the expiration of your certification.
